PROPERTIES OF KEY ACTIVES
Salicylic Acid – is an effective keratolytic allowing additional actives to penetrate more effectively.
Lactobionic Acid – inhibitor of MMPs (matrix metalloproteinase enzymes) and is responsible for degrading the skin’s extracellular matrix and overall structural integrity causing wrinkles, skin laxity and telangiectasia. Provides multiple skin benefits, such as increasing cell turnover time and providing antioxidant properties. It also assists in wound healing, has strong moisturization and water binding properties, and is film forming and non-irritating.
Pyruvic Acid – stimulates collagen, elastin and dermal glycoproteins to a greater degree than other acids.
Mandelic Acid – stimulates the production of collagen and shows advanced results in the treatment of photo- ageing by improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles without irritation. Mandelic acid is also very effective as a tyrosinase inhibitor actively treating several types of pigmentations often associated with aged skin. Its powerful antimicrobial properties help to kill microbes associated with acne eruptions.
Glycolic Acid – is an Alpha hydroxy acid that is clinically proven to loosen the glue-like bonds that hold skin cells together, thus shedding the top layer of dull, damaged and ageing skin.
Retinol – regulates cellular differentiation. Stimulates the synthesis of collagen and elastin and acts as a powerful antioxidant.
Hydrolyzed Soy Protein- rich in essential amino- acids, stimulates cellular renewal and maintains epidermal surface moisture by fixing water.
PH-DVCTM (delivery vehicle complex) – a superior delivery complex used in the pHformula formulations to enhance the penetration of active ingredients.
